2 things. 1 compression test, 2 misfire

ok i did a compression test on my car, made the mistake of doing it on cold engine so im sure my results are off, plus by cylinder 3 my batt was dieing on me, i think i may need a new batt. i got 145,130,130,130. seems low to me. dont know the norm for our cars. Ill probably do another one tomorrow after i drive it for awhile. i do know i got a tick in the head, so im trying to see if its causing any compression loss if its a bad valve or something

2. i think i found the problem for fake misfires people see on dashdaq and other scanners. used to always get em at startup, then when i changed to no cat downpipe, almost never got em, now i put stock downpipe back on, back to getting them again.

Do it warm, pull the fuel pump fuse and run it until it dies so it isn't spraying fuel. Pull all 4 plugs. Crank it until it peaks with the throttle open, prob 4-5 comp strokes. Should see 155-165 if in good shape.

Nah dude, Aaron asked "If there was a DIY on this" meaning if there was a how-to guide to "do it yourself" posted on the forums. I simply quoted Iam Broke's response because it basically IS a do it yourself guide. I put "lol" because I thought it was funny that Aaron was asking for a how-to guide when Iam Broke pretty much posted one in this thread by responding to your initial post.

Yes, you pull all plugs at the same time so the engine cranks over with less effort. If you pull the fuel pump and inj fuses, no fuel is going to spray. If you get splatter out the spark plug holes, you have other issues.

sigh, redid the test on warm engine and got same results. no oil or nothing sprayed out at all so im pretty sure rings are fine, but i know my head had a tick so ill just take it in and have them do one and fix the head already. 60k kms on it so could be dirty vales amoung other things in that head.
