Sorry but GM has not been able to detect the tune on my car. My Trifecta 23psi tune is not going to burn out the turbo. I'll take double the power at half the price. Theres nothing wrong with the GM tune but geez quit saying other's tunes are detectable. Good for Bill, he can find it because he knows about it. I guess he's just going to email every GM dealership so we will lose our warranty huh? And like Projekt said, if the turbo does go, can't wait to slap a huge replacement one on.
If you have a major hard part failure they will find your tune . Will it pass a low tech CVN check...... yep . But if something major happens your PCM isn't going to be checked at the dealer level , they are going to look at alot more than a CVN match.
Yeah Bill was explaining to us the reason why is because its Direct Injection. It has to be high before it gets to the combustion chamber. Dont quote me but I believe that is what he said. I could have it off or wrong! But with more hp I would assume you would need more fuel pressure. Although the injectors are good up to 400hp!
No matter how you explain there will always be someone who will disagree with you. Its just something stupid to argue about because when you tune your car with an aftermarket tune you take your chances and pay for what you break.

Also ...the ECM serial number is on your Vehicle Component sheet in GMVIS . So if you tuned your stocker and bought a back up with a stock file on it .....your suspect too. Here is mine as an example .

You mean the coolant hose?
I noticed that in this picture (circled in red) that a jumper harness is used to connect the new stage sensor to the factory wiring harness. That jumper is not included in the stage kit. You have to cut the factory connector off and butt connect the new connectors on.
Where did you get the jumper harness?

I don't think anybody has mentioned the Stage ll. Can you tell us what the Stage ll is all about and what the HP and torque will be with it? Thanks.

Nice that is how i herd it was detected too!
GM's got it covered. I'm sure they can detect ANY aftermarket tune in the original ECU also. IF THEY WANTED TO!! I'm also sure they wouldn't go to the trouble on a car that looks and acts like something close to stock or stage tuned.
I'm sorry but if you have a major engine failure due to your driving with the GM stage kit, it will not be covered by warranty. I'm not trying to argue, I'm just saying the tune will pass small repairs. It wouldn't matter if the car was completely stock, if you throw a rod it's not getting warranted.

If they term the problem "your fault" from driving hard, you think they will still warranty it? Geez dude your the one trying to argue. I'm just trying to make valid points. I think it's great that your going to get a tune and see what this car is capable of (rather it's a GM tune or aftermarket).

When I had my LSJ with stage 2 they never once hesitated to not warranty my car!

I almost forgot the BIGGEE! LAUNCH CONTROL!
I think, with the features designed and built into this car by the manufacturer, NLS, Comp. mode, ESC, factory performance package, world class handling package, etc., etc. they EXPECT some breakage. If you show up at the dealer with the car on a flat bed and the wheel wells covered in rubber, I'm sure they will have a problem. I'm also sure, with the car business in the turmoil it's in, they will handle every case individually and give you every benefit of the doubt. JMHO!
