Raising the rev limit to 6500 is nice-may make the 3-4 shift @ the strip unnecessary(if it's not already),but will it still be making power?

I do want a trifecta tune but even though they have the invisible tune I'm still concerned about warranty.

Nope...with the way the ECU works on the LNF...this "learn down," as you like to call it, will never be gone. Ask the HHR/Solstice/Sky guys that already have it or, better yet, ask Vince...If you read into how this ECU operates you will understand that there is no "Learn Down" switch that can be flicked on or off or any dumb crap like that...this whole car's power is based on air loads commanded by the ECU and unless you change that...your car will ALWAYS try to target them regardless of mods you strap on.

Oh and I wonder if they tinkered with the torque management tables for the stage kit...if not...you'll essentially have the Superchips tune when you get the stage kit.

I have an idea.

use dynolicious on the iphone to test acceleration G forces. Would be a great way to tell stock vs. Stage 1

Looking forward to it... sub'd

There are two things I'm curious about :
NLS
The way it behaves at wot in 1st gear in competition mode vs full TCS "regular" mode.

To bad you can't take it to a dyno to see what its doing at the wheels.

what the hell is first gear? Is that what you stay in for half a second then shift out of?

Or the one that makes the tires go SPIN SPIN SPIN?

Should I sub this thread or will you create a new one with the impressions!

Have fun!
I also would like to know this. I will be roadracing it and absolutely loves how the power comes on in stock trim.

U know those are completely inaccurate right? I have it and it doesnt work for ****.

according to dynolicious I have 225 whp and a high 14 sec 1/4mi....

the best way to do it is to get it dynoed.

well i have done multiple second gear pulls and get the same reading. So that tells me it is working like it should.

I know the quarter mile and HP rating won't be right.

If its consistantly getting a wrong value, how is it working correctly? Do you know what youre getting is correct?

OK, so it's not accurate, but it's precise. So if I can reproduce the results multiple times, then install stage 1 and see a positive change then you know Stage 1 added power.

Correct?

It's like using a DynoJet or a Mustang dyno. As long as you are comparing before and after on the same dyno then you can actually show real gains.

Thats true, but it doesnt mean its the real power increase, you'd have to make a ratio and apply the power you do know your car makes.

example.

1 - (stock dynolicious power / stage 1 dynolicious power)* 100% = percent increase in power

(% increase in power / 100) * known tested stock horse power = stage 1 horse power number.

I mean if your dynolicious thing show 225hp and the stage kit shows 236hp, you see what im getting at? you can make slope with those two numbers. The only way you get a true reading is if that slope is equivalent to the slope of the actual power number and stage 1 power number. basically figure out the slope and apply it like a standard curve equation. Multiply the curve value to the known hp number our cars makes. that your new stage 1 power number.

nothing is a replacement for an actual calibrated dyno. This is what Im talking about.

I wouldnt trust the dynolicious readings for anything.
