2010 Cobalt SS turbo boost/intercooler issue
2010 Cobalt SS turbo boost/intercooler issue
Hit a curb yesterday and broke the clip on the left side of the intercooler. Visually there is no other damage. I had it on a lift today and the hoses coming to and from the intercooler are on and have not popped off. I have yet to remove the intercooler to check for any other damage. 50KM after the hit I got a mass airflow sensor code. Once I cleared the code it reappeared a half hour later.
Boost is low based on the stock display by the windshield.
I keep reading about intercooler pumps etc. I have searched but I am getting more confused than anything else. If I need to replace the intercooler with aftermarket is there anything I need to know? Any insight is appreciated.

turbo cobalt has no intercooler pump, that's for lsj which has liquid cooled intercooler. u ripped off the moister collector on the intercooler and in the process caused a boost leak, ur intercooler is done. goto zzp and get their intercooler. problem solved
I apologize for my ignorance. This is my wifes grocery getter and 100% stock. I assumed that aftermarket would be cheaper but the ZZP website has a new intercooler at $749.
I dont need more performance just looking for an economical option and assumed aftermarket would be cheaper than stock.
