07 mustangs dont have a 5.0, they have the palty 4.6 with 300hp. so, maybe 280ish to the wheels on a 3600lb car. big difference between that and 412hp 5.0 gt.

If you dont mind, could you educate me on the specifics, as in the small details of things matt will do. Im not throwin any names out but i want to confront him about this. Im going to dig into the people he has tuned into the past and see what they say as well.

im not going to do them often. i did it one time without realizing the power increase. But do tell how will i tear the clutch up if its already in gear. im new to this car with tuning but please tell. I dont understand how it would affect the clutch any other time then during engagements.

being at a low rpm, in a high gear and giving it full throttle puts a lot of load on the clutch, which means it can slip very easily, especially with that much power.

oh ok i can understand that. I dont mash it alot though. Very few times do i mash it anymore, my tires are almost gone so i usually roll on it whenever i get on it at all. I get that though.

To be honest I wouldnt do it at all. You got a tune so obviously you want more performance so use it and downshift. Doesnt take long for your clutch to start slipping like that.

I'd do it in 3rd and roll on it. Or 40 in 2nd. Lots of usable power there.

I dont really plan on burn my stock parts up. I dont race alot. I will occasionaly go to the drag strip or street race but i dont have the money to be able to break somthing on my dd.

Same here. I don't wanna tear up stuff if I can help it. I know it will shorten my clutch life but I'd still like it to last as good as it can.

There's a lot of tuned lnf's out there to learn from. Take advantage of it so you aren't repeating their mistakes and fixing stuff that didn't have to break.

Yeah ill be doing alot of that shortly. Im really worried about this boost spike thing though. Im not running my car at all untill i can take it to the dealer but now that its on my mind it really bothers me. I dont want to blow anything because im poppin full boost off the line.

ive only got a TVS balt, but i would highly suggest you let Chevycobaltss3 tune ya. The guy is top notch and knows exactly what he is doing and LISTENS to the owner. I wanted a mild / conservative tune, and that's exactly what he did. Good, reliable power.

Op, boost ramp means it'll slowly ramp boost not only to keep the engine health up but also to save the clutch. It makes it if your in say 3,4,5th gear and punch it at 2k you don't full spool . You'll get whatever is commanded. It also helps with wheel spin and etc...

Yea i do have gradual increase of boost. it aint all there if i mash it. I got it fixed. It was clutch switch.the dealer fixed it free of charge. Now the boost thing. Yea ts gradual. Its not all there if i mas it but it does spool quickly. It goes up to like 20 or so.
