Its drew here. Purchasing the TurboXS catless DP, RFL Catback, Intercooler piping and possibly the K&N Typhoon. Im looking into Carolina Auto Masters to tune the car when ive installed the parts. Any recommendations? Ive seen that people have problems with CAI's but I like the sound of the turbo out of the Typhoons opposed to Stock. I just dont want a bunch of CEL's. Its going to be a daily driver nothing crazy souped up. Thanks all.

 

unless that tuner has experience tuning and lnf, id get someone who knows the car to tune it. only cell ud get is the one for downpipe, unless it has the angled bung.

 

The guy has tuned several cobalts he said as well as solstice's, sky's redlines, ss/sc's and many other cars. Told me that It didnt make a difference if I had stock or a CAI for the tuning. Seemed knowledgeable.

Your parts seem fine but as stated above make sure your tuner knows the lnf well these engines are picky on the tunes verify independently of what they say ive seen a few bad stories of people taking a car to a really reputable tuner of another platform and not getting anywhere with the lnf

 

Im in the fayetteville area. I didnt want to get a HP tuners because I know nothing about them and I dont want to mess up my car. Id just let someone else do it. Thanks for your advice tho.

 

This. Im about to get the same parts as well, TurboXS seems very legit and has great reviews. The tune will also remove all codes created by the exhaust and cai. Have fun!

 

Bolted and tuned with the said mods will be fun for so long. Then you'll get bored and want more...

 

With full exhaust and intercooler and a great tune it's quite an interesting setup, depending on the use/need of OP. Could be dialing around 350HP I think. The car is great don't get me wrong, but it remains a FWD.

 

I purchased the parts yesterday. I ordered the TurboXs IC piping, full exhaust and CAI yesterday. Possibly getting a upgraded FMIC. Nevertheless it's going to be interesting to install it and get a tune.
