how are the turbo kits from performance autowerks compared to zzps. Can you bolt the turbo kits right up and go or do you need other stuff from performance autowerks. Are the turbos better than zzp are zzp better. Not sure what horsepwer the turbos give and spool times
2 good and well performing kits. Performance autowerks = pte billet ball bearing turbos (excellent turbos), zzp borg warner extended tip turbos, non ball bearing, excellent turbos too. When comparing the price of both kit, keep in mind that zzp use a log manifold, p-werks a tubular manifold, and the ball bearing turbos p-werks use are more expensive. You can get a journal bearing version of the kit from p-wers too, iirc.
With the smaller size of these turbos it will not hurt to run the journal bearing turbos. They are tough as hell. I am putting a ZZP kit on my car but have a pte5857 instead of the s259et. I am putting the ballbearing on mine as well but it is not needed. You do need to run an inline oil filter for the ball bearing turbos tho, they are very picky with dirt and will lower there life span, but they also are very tough. I suggest that you go with one or the other and stick with that company, my company is obviously ZZP.
Here is a filter. Like I said, which ever company you go with, stick with that company for everything.
