Accusump turbo after oiler?

The Accusump Turbo After-Oiler solves the main cause of Turbo wear and failure by supplying a pressurized discharge of oil to the hot turbo bearings during turbo spool down. This oil will lubricate and cool the bearings and prevent coke build up (which limits oil flow). Manufactured with the same design features and to the same high standards as all Accusumps. A piston separates the oil side from the air pressure side which allows the the unit to be mounted in any position and permits an air precharge. With a precharge all the oil is discharged under pressure for positive oiling and no oil is diverted from the engine until pressure is established on restart. The Turbo After-Oiler is easy to install and is virtually maintenance free.

Interesting? Something for me to consider. What you all think? It's kind of pricey but considered what a turbo kit already cost. It holds 1 Quart of oil. This is something for the guys with big turbo that does a lot of tracking?

I think letting your car idle for a minute or two after beating on it would all that's needed. I see no reason to spend that kind of money when all you need to do is wait..... Just my opinion tho.

There are a few things to consider if you are looking into a turbo oiler. The first is the price. Yes it is pricey but it can help increase the longevity of your turbo. Running your car for a little bit after is nice but the turbo oiler is holding cooler oil than is circulating in your motor which helps it cool down a little bit more. On top of that even after you shut your car off the turbo is still spinning. The turbo oiler ensures oil pressure in the turbo after the car is shut off which can't be achieved with a turbo timer or by just letting your car run. The final advantage to a turbo oiler is while you are driving it. If something happens to your oil pressure the turbo oiler will give you some time to realize what is going on and shut the motor down before doing any damage to the turbo. We are also looking into a compact version of the turbo oiler since a lot of the factory turbo cars don't have a lot of space in them. wouldnt a oil cooler be a more effective way to this? i mean its not that pricey considering what i have spent on my car already but if letting the car idle lil longer ontop on a oil cooler will do the trick then whats the point? not bashing but maybe im missing something, i run a precision 5857 not a factory so maybe a better explaination would do me justice.
the purpose of the turbo timer is to keep the car running longer to get cooler oil in the turbo right?

When you shut down the engine the turbo is still spinning. Potentially spinning dry. An accusump is supposed to help with that.

Where is this part, can't find it on the site. Plus there should be a film of oil on ur turbo bearings when engine shuts down, the amount of spool down wouldn't damage anything really. If u use crap oil then yes

Instead of starting a new thread. I will just update my original post of many years ago. Didn't think anything of it until recent weeks.
I think back then they only have the large one quart unit which is ideal but with limited space under the hood, that is not going to work for me.
Just browsing around to looking a new project to do. Came across this topic again and I'd noticed they have a 1/2 quart compact size that would work this time around.

Do I need it? NO. But it is better to have then not. It doesn't hurt anything except your bank acc. LOL..
