Aluminized + Paint = ????

So I want the CIA downpipe and 260 is ridiculously cheap but if I get the aluminized should I get some flat black engine paint and coat it to keep the rust out?

You can but I don't thing it would be 100% necessary. If you do just make sure you rough the surface up with sand paper or steelwool, clean it, then spray it with a few good coats of high temp paint. Getting the paint to last is ALL in the prep work, ALWAYS keep that in mind.

Just spend the extra money on the stainless one so you dont have to worry about rusting from the inside out. Engine heat and moisture cause the pipes to rust from the inside out.
