Another misfire issue on LNF
Another misfire issue on LNF
I just started getting some misfires over the weekend, and a bunch, like 255/cycle showing on my interceptor. Misfires are on cyl 1 and 2 both. I switched the coils to a different set I had, same, then switched 1 and 4, same, then added in a different plug in cyl 1, same results. I then pulled a coil off on 1 then 2 and grounded it and ran the engine briefly. Spark looked good and consistent and engine did sound different when I unplugged it. , and I compared it to cyl 4 and they looked the same. I just changed the clutch ten days ago, so I am thinking perhaps a wire got chaffed. I cant think of what would effect just two cylinders though. I guess I will next start looking for chaffed wires. Any ideas would be appreciated.
I thought of that as well. I cant hear it, but I haven't been driving spirited at all either due to clutch break in. Might do some new seals and a quick valve clean, if nothing else then to rule that out. Couldn't hurt.
It is aluminum, its what comes with the Spec kit from OTTP. I thought of this too, its an F40, so the flywheel isnt a whole lot lighter then a stock F35 steel flywheel. Also I have used the chromoly flywheel from ACT before on the F35, and it weighed about ten pounds, never had any misfire issues with that. I do have some new Opels on order from Mongo and I will clean my valves while I am in there. It will also rule out a bit of wire and connections I would of had to trace, so although it may be just throwing parts at it, it seems a logical step at this point.
