As far as I know it is. Going to get a log soon seems to be. Seems to have a lot more torque than the lnf did on stock tune also. I also have a new clutch so really babying it only have 200 miles so far on it. Not sure if they are out of LNF'S or not but the engines were on National back order two weeks ago and I got a LHU engine.

Well that would make sense because don't they book out at 270hp and 295ft lbs?

How do they put an LHU motor in our cars? Did you get all new heads, intake, fuel system, etc? Would that make your car flex fuel capable? So many questions.....

I hope it is ..... I want to see what it does on E85 being that it's a flex fuel motor . Thats a win for Jarhead if it pans out .

Yeah I know lots of questions. The high pressure pump is new came on the block. Also has a new different looking turbo inlet intake side. Coil packs are new of course. Manifold is slightly different, Oil pan is a completely different shape. The valve cover is way different an inch higher in the front than the rear and the bolts are way different made to fit the regal plastic valve cover cover. Guess I wont be needing my zzp cover anymore lol. Map sensor is new but the same oem lnf one in the manifold. From what I read the injects are higher flowing e85 but not sure on that yet also.

Yeah I will for sure keep you guys posted as I find things out Rukee. I didn't even notice it was different at first just that the valve covers looked strange swirls then got to checking everything out and kept finding things different on it. This high pressure pump and engine are way quieter running up front but the hahn catted dp and 3'' exhaust sound really good! Also for the guy that said the 2012 regal had the 270 hp and 290 torque up from the 220 hp regular model. I read that is up becase the GS is running 20 lbs of boost and has a free flowing exhaust stock to the regular regal having 15 psi boost stock? So not really sure if it's faster than a lnf feels like it may be though in a 650 lb lighter cobalt. Shoot could be slower will let you know.

You obviously know absolutely nothing about Subarus then.

Early models (2.0) had head gasket issues. 04 and 05 WRX/STI models were fairly reliable. In 06-07 models then changed the tune, and they started blowing ringlands left and right. Bone stock cars had pieces of piston missing, and Subaru wouldn't do a damn thing about it. The 08 cars are the worst, they have engine, trans, electrical, and diff issues like crazy. The new models still use the same basic engine, and still have ringland and turbo problems if they are run hard. The turbos are made by IHI, which are complete junk. The only good turbo manufacturers out there are B/W and Garret. Mitsubishi and IHI just don't last, they are cheap crap.

Do some research, you will learn a lot.

Are all of us with pre build dates of 12/08 or older bound to have this porous block issue? (My build date is 11/08 I have 31k mi and no issues yet :-/ )

I don't what an LHU! I want to keep my LNF. The LNF + GMS1 is more powerful than the LHU and there are way more after market parts for the LNF than the LHU.

Holy ****!! I had this same issue with my '08 SS/TC! I went through 1.5 gallons in 2 days just like SharkPuncher did. GM went ahead and replaced all my gaskets, but when that didn't solve the problem, they went ahead and replaced my engine block under warranty... Build date on my car is 06/ 08

If I had a porus block issue and bought the ZZP griddled block as a replacement, what would I need for a direct replacement.

Porous block should fall under 100k mile warranty.

Yea so far everyone who has had the issue seems to have been covered by the 100k warranty.
