I'm going to be getting a new clutch in the future, and I have a 4.45 gear set from Mongo I may have put in. My questions for those who have or had them is how did they feel? Mongo says it didnt hurt his fuel economy much, how does typical driving feel? I would love more of a slam you in your seat torque feel, and I know the gears may prolong the life of my trans. What differences did you guys see?

Put them in... rev around 400 rpm higher.. it takes you to 7k quicker so watch your tach.. you certainly don't need to down shift on the free way to pass someone if you don't want to...have fun...

 

I have it. With a big turbo it puts you more in the spool range. Car is much more lively on the street. For autocross/road course it is ideal from my experience. I have the s256et.

 

If you have the 4.45 gears, what else is needed with them or are they just interchangeable? I gotta replace my second tob and since its gonna be apart again, I might have my buddies throw the gears in too if I can find some for a good price.
