No problems for me either.

It's been said before, almost every problem, if not all problems are related to improper installation. Crimp connections not be soldered... The lower sensor not being trimmed down...

I noticed the other day when I was looking at the lower map sensor that the screw on the driver's side that holds the map down is only halway screwed in. I tried turning it with my fingers but it doesn't budge. I also tried wiggling the sensor to see if it was loose but it doesn't seem to be. Should I tighten the screw all the way down or is it only supposed to be tightened halfway? I don't have any problems with the GMS1 but it's got me wondering.

mine was just an install error. had the mechanic soldered the wires and I had zero prolems since except some bitch rear ended the back of my car at a intersection, so that is a different issue.

No screw should ever be tightned down halfway. That means a different length screw needs to be used or the screw is cross-threaded.

No issues here, self installed & tuned. Had the sensors in for >~10k miles seeing up to 27psi at times.

I decided to get a GMS1 if I do anything. It's a good starting point! People have convinced me, they are saying that there's 1000's of people out there that haven't had issues and the 50 here have and I shouldn't worry. More sucessful installs over failures.

Wise decision. Even if the install goes wrong, it's easy enough to get it fixed. You will feel the difference, esp in 2nd and 3rd and it should keep you pretty happy for 6mo to a year. Almost certain that you will say "Holy Sh...!" when you feel the difference. When you get bored, do aftermarket parts and a tune.

Read through this.

Technically, and everyone you talk to on ss.net, well almost everyone, will tell you to not put a aftermarket Intake on the car UNLESS you plan on tuning for it because it messes with the fuel trims, which could potentially do damage to the engine down the road. GMS1 removes the learn down feature, somewhat, which means it will accept aftermarket parts and not maintain the HP/TQ at 260. So, in theory, the car will still gain HP and TQ from the aftermarket intake with GMS1, but you will not be maxing out the potential performance of it unless you get an aftermarket tune.

Does it skew the fuel trims? Yes, but not as bas as other intakes and K&N says you dont need a tune for it to work properly. Did I feel a HP difference? No, I don't think anyone would feel 10hp with the butt dyno. Does it sound good? Yes. Did it throw a CEL? No. Do I plan on tuning? Yes. When my warranty is up. Was it worth it? To me, yes.
