I'm getting ready to tear into mine. Coolent in oil. Good compression, never overheated. So, its either the water pump, head gasket or block. Haven't heard of really any of these issues on LDK blocks yet. Just the LNF's.

Still runs normal. No miss fires , good compression. Just coolant getting into oil

Have you done a leak down test? It may for a short term hold pressure in the cylinder. But it would seem like if you had an issue a leak down would tell you more, and on what cylinder.

Well head is off. Cant see any visible damage to the gasket, although being it was an oil to coolant leak it might not be so obvious. Cyl walls look good, nothing obvious. Keeping in mind my compression was dead on across the board, I dont think its a sleeve. Where all do the cracks typically show up? Also are the head bolt bores blind holes? I'm taking my head to get it checked. Then I will bolt on the head back up with some new gaskets, and the turbo also so I can hook up all coolant lines and do another coolant pressure test.

Pressure test the cooling system with the oil pan off and youll be able to see where its leaking.

Good call. When I put the head/turbo back on I will pressure test it first, then if anything comes out of the oil pan I will drop it and take a look. Probably screwed at that point no matter what though
