Very cheap canned tune. I'm sure it's not as good as a custom HP tuners solution, but is it worth the price? Or should I start saving my pennies?

save your pennies get someone who knows what they are doing. canned tunes tend to work, but are not the most reliable, and can screw something up b/c every car is diff.

You want someone to get a $1000 canned tune compared to a $200 canned tune? Is it 5 times better?
Theres nothing wrong with the canned tune pcm4less offers, do some reading on the solstice forum about it.

They made some 70ftlb & 40hp on their solstice test mule and have been in the business for a long time, I'm pretty confident Bryan & Alvin know what they're doing there

They also resell our product so I'm sure they could probably give you a package deal on our software & a starter tune to go along with it...win win situation

only problem is that you need to remove the pcm and send it to them for tuning across the country. If you want it back to stock to go to the dealer or for any other reason, you need to buy another pcm for the car and have to swap them, so now you need a 300 + dollar pcm spare, not couting shipping for the orig tune and to buy the 2nd pcm or having to swap pcm's then

so 200 bucks turns into alot more than 200 bucks,

just an fyi when comparing the ppc from bsr.

I agree 1k is alot for a canned tune, but it is far from an 800 dollar diff between the 2

I got the Hahns...

yeah it's a lot.

But I'm fully satisfied and it's great knowing I can just tune it back if need be in +/- 30 seconds.

If you check the pcm spare you buy also has to be case relearned also at the dealer so it kind of defeats the purpose of buying the spare.
