When rain pours you get humid air which can or will cause skewed readings for maf... My car hates humidity.

Truthfully yes it sneeze trims but it also can cause damage. If you suck up water or u have humidity in ure charge pipes or somthing to that sort and u have maf relocate or somthing it cause cause failure to maf and can cause vaporlock if enough water is sucked.

Just to clarify, humidity will NOT hydrolock the motor. As a matter of fact, a little humidity is good. It's rain itself that's the problem. James post read a little funny.

I don't really notice a change in my car when it's raining. Maybe it's a little sluggish can't really tell, because I tend to drive much slower when it's raining.

Now, when it's hot as ***** out is a totally different story.

Mine runs like a ***** that just got 2 fists in the butt. Poops all over herself... Luckily it only rains like a week out of the year here. But on that week I make sure and have plenty of MAF cleaner and an extra just in case lols.

Lol my post did read a Lil funny but this is what I meant. ( on a humid day after you have driven and let the car sit. Your car will keep humidity in the system and over time create more condensation in the intake and ect). Not enough to hydrolock aka ( vaporlock), when I said hydro (vaporlock) I was leaning on the rain part which was in my comment..... Oh yeah. Frogstofall you are so random.. sending pics of Ure car to me lol.. are u tryning to make my car jealous lmfao.

I had some problems with the MAF and condensation, but that all ended when I started using the K&N pre-filter thingy. I had it on my Hahn intake, and I moved it over to my K&N. Added bonus that it helps keep grit out of the crevices of the filter. Anyways, I've never had the MAF issue since I added it.

Werd. The last time I drove in the rain was a year ago. But that's because it hasn't rained in a year, where I live.

I got it direct from K&N. They sell some stuff directly on ebay. The one I used for Hahn was:

RC-4630DK - K&N Filter Wraps, Air Filter Wrap

It fits on the K&N intake filter as well, but not quite as well as it should. If you're getting a new one, I would advise emailing K&N and asking for the right drycharger cover.

Shoot an email to MattSm at knfilters.com

No reason to be going WOT in the rain on the street. But whatever floats your boat. I guess driving like an ******* is neccesery in all weather conditions.
