Best Gas?

Which gas stations have the best gas for these cars?

Murphies seems to be doing good in mine right now, Chevron did good too. but Shell totally drained my performance... but what about say BP or some others?

and would anyone know off the top of their heads what the different companies use for additives... i'm pretty sure murphies uses ethanol

I personally prefer Shell, definitely got about 20-30 more miles to a full tank then BP. BP would be my 2nd choice with Clark as 3rd.

all gas stations get their gas from the same place, gas is gas. only diff is, some dont clean their tank sometimes and u get crappy gas. iv seen it happen at a number of stations with my old car. There is no better or worse gas, they all fill their tankers up at the same hub. its all the same except for different octane ratings of course.

While gas is gas, so to speak, each terminal blends different additives based on the specs. BP gasoline has different additives than the no names. I'm sure Shell, Marathon & all the brand names have their own formulation. There are 3 different terminals within a few miles of where I work.

For me logging with HP Tuners, I see less Knock Retard on Marathon 93 octane than a no name or BP Ultimate. I haven't had a chance to log Shell. Nothing close & convenient to my commute.
The Marathon station I frequent uses seperate hoses for each grade, so I get all 93 octane, not a few quarts of 87 from the hose & pump, then 93. Something to consider when you fill up.

I personally try to use sunoco as much as possiable. Sunoco has a seperate tanke for octane that blends with the gas as you pump. At other stations it can settle so you may not actually get 93 octane. Try to avoid stations the use ethinal.

I only use shell since day one. 93 vpower. Other than that ill put in bp or mobil if I really have to . On my ohio trip I barely made it to a bp because there were some bullshit valero stations haha and I told myself that I won't do that to my car

I think it all comes down to personal opinion. I refuse to get gas at places that there hi octane is only 91 and they charge u the price that would be for 93 ( the usual .20 over regulR gas). That personaly anoys me so I won't even get gas there in my jeep witch just takes regular.

Sadly, Sunoco disappeared from the midwest a long, long time ago. Also, there aren't any stations that I am aware of in my region that don't put 10% ethanol in the fuel.

depends on the state... none here in Missouri.

For those of you who know David Buschur, he did a gas test a long time ago and found QT (quiktrip) and Valero to be the WORST fuels available. His evolution running these fuels would get crazy knock across the RPM band. Flush the tank and change to Sunoco or Shell, no problems.

I'm limited to Conoco, which I do run their 94.

all of the sunocos in my area contain 10% ethanol, so there is no escaping it. 10% ethanol will not cause any problems. i have been running it since May 2007 when i purchased my ss/sc, and have not had one problem yet.

Sunoco. Some offer higher octane than 93 There are only like 10 Sunoco's here in NC. None are close to me though I tend to always use BP. I tend to get better gas mileage using it.
