i got a ZZP just a month or two ago. fit and finish is great. fits well. Two things i noticed: first the ZZP is significantly heavier (more than double the wight of the original) but its alot tougher also. second: all fitment was fine except i noticed you can not re-install the clips going from above the intercooler into the crash bar (new intercooler is too thick to allow it) but i left left them off and it causes no problems......as far as charge pipes i just kept the stock and they are working fine so far. tip if you replace it. use WD-40 on the couplers to make it easier to get them on/off. otherwise its near impossible

use hairspray instead, it will slide on, then tack up and stick the charge piping on so it doesnt blow off

best imo would have to be the Treadstone ic.......on their website its the cobalt beta package..
cheap, good quality, a few options to select from, and very effective

also best buy for your money on charge pipes will be dejon, cheap, look good, good quality, pick any color, and functional

all of these items are really easy to install as well

I don't like any of the intercoolers currently offered. They all have way too many compromises. Most are waaay too big/heavy which also means they generally hang too low. I'm not gonna add that much more weight hanging out in front of the axles. Also being too low means a little off track excursion means trouble.

Then there 2 choices that aren't too low or too big, but the MPX is hard mounted to the bumper beam and the end tanks aren't formed well, IMO. Treadstones is actually mounted too high and the inlet/outlet are at the bottom, and it is not a back door design meaning the top few rows probably offer little in the way of cooling, especially since the top 1/5 or so is behind the bumper. Also I have concerns that a large IC may increase coolant temps on track.

Best one I have seen so far is the ETS DSM 2G street intercooler. It is 7" tall and needs elbows welded to it, and some custom brackets to mount it.

ZZP is the best. Best mounting by far. It hangs a little low, but if you're not lowered or going off-road, then it should be fine.

I like ZZP's i/c as well.. but I must say I'm glad I didn't have one on a couple weeks back when I went over a boulder in Montana. It scraped my front lower lip and hit the undercarriage pretty hard.. car came up off of the ground twice when I went over it. That would've shut me down on that trip since my ZZP i/c would've been wasted. Fortunately, no severe damage was caused from that boulder, although there's a scratch on the lip, and a couple of knicks on the suspension underneath. I was quite glad it missed the oilpan or I'd have been fubar there too. I still want a ZZP i/c tho, strangely enough... I just wish they'd raise it up to level at least. My 2 cents.

As for going around it.. I couldn't and I couldn't see it since 4 suv's were in front of me doing 60mph around a bend, and to make things worse, another car was pulled over on the shoulder so I couldn't even go there.. and with oncoming traffic.. I guess it was destiny to hit that fkn rock.. was pretty pissed at the time but I'm glad it did little to no dmg. Very thankful indeed.

I like what I've read about Werks intercooler, but it cost more.
For the price ZZP is probably the best.

For charge pipes everyones been telling me to go ZZP, though you now have more post in a few hrs then I did in my thread in days...

From reading I like Hanhs charge pipes, but that's just from reading, and again they cost more.

Both TurboXS and Werks (along with Hahn, ZZP, Synapse) use 8" tall cores. Guess what that means... Totally unnecessary. Sigh.

I heard the Werks one comes flush with the bottom lip and doesn't hang below anyway, but still it's pricy in comparison to the zzp intercooler.

I heard Hanh intercooler sux. Can blow it easy...

Yeah for the price it seems like the best deal.

Probably what I'll end up getting, but positive.

hmm, i wonder how the trubo xs is, TTR has some great products.

i wanted ZZP then i was recommended MPx but idk about the end tank problem, i eventually want to upgrade my turbo to a bigger EFR and didnt know if MPx would be big enough to cool down my intake temps so i should go with zzp but it hangs low... IDK

It's an 8" tall core. There isn't 8" available. Do the math. It's even lower than the ZZP, since ZZP starts theirs closer to the bumper. Even shows in the pics that were posted.

As for the Hahn intercooler, they have the best shaped end tanks. As far as them cracking, well, I wouldn't use anything other than stock or ZZP charge pipes. The others will present additional load on the end tanks due to shortened couplers. ZZP was smart when they did theirs like stock.

Just going by what others that purchased it say on here and show screen shots of in other threads... I guess they probably don't know though, owning it and installing it and all...

Same with the Hanh blowing easily, just going with what others have said in threads here from owning...
