my stock intercooler during the tuning of my car was running 1 degree over ambient... the stock intercooler is very efficient...

unless your changing the turbo... there is kind of no need to upgrade your intercooler...

Its very efficient until you remain in boost for repeated back to back runs or run the car in boost for a while... Then the heat soak sets in and the temps skyrocket. Thats where the aftermarket ones begin to shine!

or your in the staging lanes when its 85 degress and the stocker can't handle the extra heat

an upgraded IC is a very good idea when increasing boost over stock

I have been running mine for a year now no problems or issues....I have not lag or pressure drops....I also got my fat beotch of a car almost into the 12'with a stock turbo should happen later this year. I will also agree that the stocker is really good, but I notice the aftermarket really really shines on heat soak...At the track I usually only see about 10* rise which is bad ass if you ask me.....I would assume the other IC's are the same....But as a side note I would say this should not be early on the list of parts....a tune and DP are were the big gains are.

im not gonna make a fight about it.. i really dont care.. im just going by what shaun said to me when he was tuning the car... i made easily 60 pulls in 2nd and third gear last saturday night, and he told me ambient temp and then told me the temp of air after intercooler... 1 degree higher than ambient even after 2 hours of pure full boost... lol...

but hey i know that getting an aftermarket IC will be better... i know that, im just saying that the factory ic is really good...

Get Synapse's IC. It has a Garrett core not an $80 made in China Ebay core. I ordered Carzy Steve's IC and it did not fit at all.
