Best tune 4 the money
so if i got an hp tuner and took it to any reputable shop i will be able to get a real good tune? but if i buy a tune from clear image i could also get a good tune its just what ur willing to pay... um Pyskostevo if i got an hp tuner could u send me like one of ur tunes and i could load it into my computer? and put it on my car with the hp tuner?
dude you need to take that kit off there are other people on here that are having problems do to that kit
Depending on how close you are to the Jersey border, I would definitely recommend Matt @ TTP. He's very well respected in the LSx world, but has tuned 100's of LSJ's, LE5's and has been dealing w/ LNF's since the beta made it capable...
Paul (06Blackg85SS) knows his **** too, if you just want a solid street tune...
As a matter of fact, I'll just throw it out there:
Area47
06Black
06Blackg85SS
LudicristSS (Matt @ TTP)
Only people you should bother talking to...

so our choices for tunes are 1.) gm stage kit (canned) -hp/tq - unknown 2.) hahn ppc (canned)- hp/tq - ??? 3.) HP tuners (open dyno/street tune) hp/tq - dependent?? 4.) trifecta tune (canned?) - hp/tq - ???? 5.) pyschotune (know nothing about, canned or dyno tune?) oculd anyone comment on these choices and provide numbers/pro's/con's if applicable, thank you 09 cobalt ss/tc sedan
trifecta tune is not a canned tune. i just got this tune, and me and some friends go to mansfield ohio on the weekends and do alittle racing. last weekend there was about 40 cars, and the first other tc ive seen was there, we raced 5 times dig and roll and every time i walked away hard, and only lost once to an auto c5 vette, rolled with him and threw 2 it was real close but started pulling pretty hard after that, another good one was a 6 speed 5.7 gto with intake, exhaust, and tune won by a little over a car. highly recomended

the only potentially cheaper route is getting tuned by someone.. and thats not always cheaper depending on how much they charge
trifecta
trifecta is probably the best bang for your buck.. it's 285 shipped from them, less if you can get it from one of their dealers and it's being used on the highest WHP ss/tc on the site..

just calculating if you were to put down 300 whp with 13-15% drivetrain loss your looking at somewhere around 339-345 crank hp. I have an intake and a muffler delete, and to be honest this is is nuts for sure, but I dont think its at 300 whp maybe 280-290. I do have the stock clutch to so maybe its slipping a very little bit so I cant feel all the power, I dont know.

yea but i am not saying it is slipping either, iam just saying i had a 300 whp camaro and this doesnt seem like it did. even tho one of my buddies has a 01 camaro ss with an auto and some good bolt ons and i beat him
i think the problem is your clutch starts slipping and you think you have less power than you really do. I got the trifecta tune and have full bolt ons and only dynoed 287whp on a dynojet. The problem is I ran the car hard for about 3000 miles on the tune before I dynoed and it is slipping heavily in 3rd and working into second when i launch hard. So do I really have 287whp? no but as long as i have this clutch it will wear down my numbers more and more. I can feel the car getting slower
and no it is a custom tune

that makes sense, what clutch do you have picked out, see i think this is already happening to me because at first a NLS to 2 would smoke the tires, now it still spins for a second but then it bogs down for a second and picks back up and is good to go after that, and only does it when NLS to 2.
