Ok I have a good idea for a competition to see who is really the best tuner.

We would need a few people with HP tuners and a LNF or LSJ to volunteer, to take their car to the track and try a few tunes and the one who runs fastest just let us know. The more people the better.

So we could supply the base tune of whatever car is going to be tuned, preferably both lsj's and LNF's. Then every tuner who wants to compete for bragging rights submits their best tune. To prevent someone from knowing who's tune it is and being bias, we could change the name to tune A, B, C, D...etc

I would be willing to run some tunes and take my car to the track.

Let me know what everyone thinks and if anyone would be interested in it?

Because for this to work the test car must be so far from stock that the tune is all that matters

 

Each tuner would have to tune the exact same car in the exact same area and the car would have to be ran at the exact same time/temperature to show true comparisons. Dynos read totally different and not everyone is a champ at the track.. Too many variables come into play

 

What's the definition of best? Who can make the highest numbers? Who can make the most reliable tune? EVERY tuner goes at things in a different way. Any tuner can pull tons of timing and make huge numbers and make a unreliable car. The best tune is one that can produce great numbers for a long period of time IMO

 

What if it was like 1 car tries 2 different tunes, and like a tournament style just eliminates, the slower of the 2 tunes? Im determined to make this work some how. lol

 

You just can't... they would all have to be in the same place, same altitude, same temperature, same car same fuel... it's not gonna work.

 

I sure wouldn't want my car as a ginnipig for this.

 

You really dont understand cars or racing if you think this would work. As mentioned prior there are some many variables to each.

This thread just needs to be deleted.

 

Ya every car is different as well, so they will react a little different to the tune. Alot of evidence on that on this forum
