You should get a new clutch while you're in there.

I stopped using NLS a while ago. Lol. And already purchased an lsj trans. Has LSD to boot. Can't wait to enjoy 4.05 gearing.

Dart, didn't you just blow a couple of rockers a few months ago due to an over rev? Dang man, everything on your car is breaking

Good luck though, hopefully the new trans works out well. I always like seeing higher hp LNFs on the street tearing it up.

Shifting while staying at WOT. Must be in comp mode, must shift 200rpm or so before redline. Tranny life all depends on how you drive. Going WOT below 3k seems to be most problematic. Too much torque and shocks the gears and everything in the tranny.

I read an article online from Car & Driver or Motor Trend or somebody (google it lol) that GM engineers performed over 600 no-lift shifts on a stock (obviously) SS/TC and never had one single clutch or tranny failure. Of course a modded car is a whole nother ball game, I'm just talking stock here.

A modded car normally has a aftermarket clutch with a lot more grip that can kill a trans real fast on a NLS.

And I have only heard of one other LNF having to be in Comp mode for nls. I don't and I don't think normally you need to. Should always work.

It works in any mode as long as you are at the right rpm.
