blown trans on 256 extended tip, 262?
I made 434 wtq on a stock turbo at 3k Rpms. Why didn't my tranny blow but blew when I barely hit 400 on the s256et. And why did it blow at 6k? Half the members here have no idea what they are talking about or how to even half tune. I've done more on my bone stock motor than 95% of people on here.

You really gotta think about it cause GM rated the trans to what it can hold power wise. Once you have pretty much doubled that rating at the wheels it's not surprising to see transmission issues i mean it's not like it's made of unobtainium. Gear ratio change seems to help ALOT but still some people have issues even then. Gotta pay to play in uncharted waters my friend.

LOL....its all from instant spool bro...all of it...from fast spooling turbos. Duh...the k04 is faster spooling than the Zfr dummies. So what you guys are saying makes no sense. If it was all about spool than the stock turbo would be doing everyone's car in that is aggressively tuned. But it doesn't. Why? Because the load is instant and does not stay on a lengthy amount of time. The ZFR spools and provides quick torque and then keeps the torque around longer on the power band. The same goes for even slow spooling turbos. While it may not provide quick torque down low if you analyze the curve the torque is hitting over a long period of the powerband. This is why I don't venture on this site that often. Too many idiots on this site claiming they know it all...yet blowing their cars on less than 450whp! Hahahaha...but my 60 - 100 times down a hill are so fast! Lmao. Sskev is one of my best friends. We have tuned together lots of times. My car is what he experiments on and its still going so shut your mouths lmao.

Also why does everyone break third gear down low on efr, zfr, borg etc? Must not be from the torque provided through the power band then huh? Must not be why people boost ramp into the 5000rpm range before hitting full boost, wait, I'm sure you'll have some smart ass remark about how your diddly car has done it.
Aaaaaaaaaand people have broken 3rd gear on stock turbo, so stfu before you go ranting about **** fucktard.
U said back there that it was all about spool and that everyone breaks their trans down low. So i brought up the stock turbo. Wert blew his at what mid 4s - I blew mine at 6. Its not just spool. Its load and its not just a simple oh ya quick spool does it. Everyone knows the 3rd gear pack is weak. The op asked if he should get a slower spooling turbo because his trans would last longer. I don't think its good advice to say yeah sure. Don't use the ZFR. More people blow their trans when they put a larger turbo on it than the stock turbo. Period. I think its poor advice if your tuner says hey. Don't upgrade your trans just avoid the zfr. We warn our customers about their transmissions every time they want a bigger turbo. I tell them they can count on their trans going. Budget for another trans.

Peoples, look at where you make your max torque then drop off at upper rpms on a stock turbo vs a bigger S256 etc.. turbos where it holds torque at upper rpms right to redline...
I wouldn't trust anyone to tune my car other then Matt M @ ZZP or SSkev.. with no disrespect to other tuners...
I have yet to see anyone with the s20g snap a trans, so I believe there is something to the quick aggressive spool up. IMO the other half of broken transmissions is due to these kids not knowing how to drive and saying I was just cruising.... yeah right. NLS kills tranny's too.
There are very few people making awesome power on the s20gs. They have a hard time breakin 400whp on pump gas. The third gear pack does not like torque loads 400lb ft and above. There is a guy making high power with e85 on an lsj, and there are some other turbos making big power but they come with 4.05 transmissions. Same with HHRs.

i think alot of people can easily make 400 -410 on the s20g. it was proven on here by a former tuner and a damn good one too, that the 20g can do it. the people that are having a hard time have a mild tune to save clutch where etc...some people i saw couldn't do it due to only being able to have 91oct or live in elevated areas. IMO the s20g maxes out at 400-410 on 93 pump and at sea level...guess i will have to see...
