My friend has an EVO and it came with a stock BOV and all he did was open it up and it sounds beautiful. Does the SS come with one stock?

If you read anything here it was mentioned several times. Just get an intake and you will hear what you want to call a "blowoff valve". Just stock bypass valve is hearable with open intake.

I want a SSQV bad though. People keep saying its a waste of money and doesn't do anything for perform...smh meanwhile they are like "Just did muffler delete and love it!" <--------Waste of money too right? It doesn't do anything for performance and its just for sound. See my logic?

Your friend has an evo.....guess what the cobalt and eco are not the same animal.

You need to save up about 500-700 bucks to do a bov.

The hks bovs aren't not the best but if you want it go for it. The only reason I saw it's a waste of money is because for what it costs you can purchase better mods. A muffler delete is cheap especially if you have a muffler shop do it.

Yeah I'm starting to see your point and I agree!

I've seen other mods that are better, by next month I'll have either that K&n intake or a downpipe. I got a good friend that will do the work for free so probably go for a downpipe first

Clearly an opinion. Why is a louder exhaust better than a loud blow off valve? It is to one and isn't to the other.

People love to talk smack about them saying that they are a waste of money and pointless and I cant figure out why, meanwhile they are installing a warm air intake and carbon fiber mirror covers.

I get what your saying completely. Don't get me wrong. All I'm saying is 700 for a mod that won't do your car any good is a waste unless for example you intend to do a big turbo upgrade down the line which then I could understand doing it.

Intakes are a proven gain..... even over a modded air box with intake tube. You point is voided there. Catless downpipes and exhausts(aka louder exhaust) provide gains as well.... I personally think muffler deletes are a waste as well depending on how it's looked at. If you want it just louder go for it. But I don't think it sounds as good as some of the catbacks out there nor have the muffler shop muffler deletes have good quality material and welds.

Like when I did my exhaust I put a catless downpipe and 3" catbsck. Better flowing, makes more power and sounds better then stock and benefits of ever a muffler delete vs just making the car louder

I just don't look at the bov as starting from scratch, that is a crazy amount of money. I found a used dejon pipe with hks BOV for $250 that you can install without a tune. Spikes rice but **** it! (kidding)

I was ready to paypal and got this whole "I decided to keep my car" after he made a parts thread on the css cgang. thanks

just get the K&N intake see if that's good enough for your blow off turbo noise desires and then maybe get a Forge BPV or any that recirculate. IF you want a BOV, seek a knowledgable tuner and get the car tuned. relocating MAF is the best way to do it but I mean that's all money.

I think you'll be happy with just an intake.
