boost drop

I recently installed a zzp DP and zzp intercooler package including chargepipes(I didn't buy the BOV). After installing the intercooler and charge pipes Im having huge boost drop on first gear it'll go to 15psi it'll start dropping at 4-6 rpm going down to 10psi or even lower. After I let go of the gas and press again it wount go pass 10psi. on second and third it'll go no farther than 5-10 and on 6th gear it wound go farther than 5psi while I'm on the freeway it'll go to 5psi and drops to 0 or no boost at all. When I'm driving casual it'll have no boost at all. Am I having a leak? I got it installed by a mechanic. The mechanic didn't add the one on the picture because he said it didn't fit he just added the old one instead .

Do you have a trans swap? or do you mean 5th gear?

Also do you have a tune or are you stock?

Do a boost leak test to find it, it's super easy.

What didn't the mechanic add? I have no clue what you're talking about him not adding because it didn't fit, I'm assuming it was the lower cp because it's a bitch to get it in there.

The L looking silicone one? That should connect from the turbo to the upper charge pipe iirc

It's silicone, get a sharp knife and make it fit. Unless the tube diameter is incorrect to fit the turbo outlet.

dunk tune?

Make sure the shop is familar with direct injection and the Bosche style ecu's, this engine is not like a LS series engine nor is the ecu.

I def recommend building a boost leak tester, its a cheap and easy way to rule out air leak initially for any problem
