boost/intake issue
so, today I'm driving home from work, and I noticed my boost was only hitting about 5psi. OBVIOUSLY this is not normal.. So I drive home, pop the hood, and this is what i find.
When I found it, it had been ghetto rigged on, very well I might add. because I did not notice it before. That's when I moved it and noticed it was like this. Must have finally just come apart. So I'm wondering is there any way to fix this? and also, to verify, this should be my boost issue?

I figured that was the case. Sucks. Oh well I'll probably just super glue it or something while I wait for one to get to me.

Clean maf using maf cleaner ONLY, then reset computer by taking a battery terminal loose and touching it to the other for 30 seconds. If the code still is there you need to delete it with an obd2 scanner.

car was fine last night after i did the fix and reset the CEL. this morning, let my car warm up, and the CEL came back on and now its only boosting 5 psi again. was boosting fine 15 psi last night. i did a search and saw a lot of GMS1 people had this issue. going to clean my maf today and maybe try to take it to a dealer to get codes read.
anybody else have any ideas?

so, after going to so many different places, finally got codes. also got them cleared. cars running good right now. hopefully the CEL doesnt come back. and hopefully my fix lasts until i can get my K&N i ordered. codes were p0102 p0100 & p2187.
seriously why is it so freakin hard just to get someone to read codes. i went to the dealership thinking theyd do it for free. they wanted to charge me 80 dollars for 'diagnostics'. and this other place wanted to charge me 104 and told me "sir we do this for a living." I told him I fix helicopters so i'm probably more mechanically/electrically inclined than all of his technicians. went to an autozone and was about to buy a reader, but this guy told me to go to this transmission place, and they did it for free, and cleared it. took 5 minutes, obviously.
california sucks.
