Bought My Amsoil 5/30 At A Store!!

Just Got Back From Pdq Auto , They Stock Amsoil. Was Surprised Since You Normally Can't Find That Around Here. Got The High Performance Line That Was About 9.44 A Quart. Says U Can Change Every 15k, But I Will Do 10k. Doing My First Coming Up At 1k, Then At 11k. The Extended Life Amsoil Was A Bit Cheaper At 8.29 A Quart But Was Only Good For 7.5 K.

Also Picked Up Oem Filter At Chevy For 9 Bucks. Wow, Didn't Realize U Can Access Filter From Top Of Engine And It's Held In By A Screw In Plastic Housing?? What The Heck?! No Filter Wrench Needed I Guess.

Are There Are Torque Specs On That Filter Housing, Prob Not , Just Snug.

You will need a 32mm socket, an 8" extension, and a u-joint to get at that sucker.

that amsoil is only good for 1500 if you get there oil filter and if they dont make the filter for your car they say that you can use a wix filter. They also make an oil thats good for 2500 miles if you just order if from there website its cheaper and they have the oil filters. We have 15 service vans at my work and i change the oil in all of them and amsoil is all we use. It is a great product and well worth the money.

Not trying to start **** but do you guys believe EVERYTHING you read on the label of every product you buy? FIFTEEN THOUSAND MILES! I wouldn't let my worst enemy go that far between changes unless he was driving a Kenworth. If you're going to believe anything, believe the owners manual no matter WHAT product you use. Just watch the OIL LIFE monitor. It will let you go approximately 10,000, plus or minus, miles. Don't get me wrong. I've been using Amsoil at least 12 years and wouldn't use anything else. But 15,000 miles? I'll wave as I pass you by on the side of the road with smoke billowing out from under the hood. Or maybe I'll stop and give you a ride.

Happy trails.

amen^^

our stock DIC may not be the most technologically advanced oil life monitoring system in the world but i'd rather change it when it says to.
