Total cost buying the stuff used for me was $250 and my maf is in stock location

And before anyone says it yes it is part of the inner ricer in me
you just speant 250.00 for a sneezing noise..... that serves no purpose other that making noise and adding another point of failure

fyi dejon sells CP with the BOV flange welded and powdercoated.

HKS going off at 19 PSI from a tune sounds beast. they also have their BLock off plate. only problem was running slightly rich during a shift (had intersceptors) but there was no big problem. no loss in power and it was intimidating. i miss it

Essentially yes but i had my stock CP on before and i wasnt originally going to do it that way but my friend offered it to me at a good price so i decided to go that route only because i didnt need a retune. Oh and there is a part of me that still likes to be a little obnoxious with the noise from my car

Lol i love hearing that blow off. The only thing i dont like is the guy who had the CP before my friend did a crappy spray paint job so im in the process of pulling it off my car every weekend and trying to scrape off the old paint to re spray it right

Well if he is getting it to turbo swap next year that is a necessary upgrade... I say that isn't ricey but just to have the sound... then yes.

How many people post here they are going to upgrade the turbo and never do? The ricer mentality is not something to defend, but flush out of a car club/forum etc.

I completely agree. Which is why I'm not defending the ricer mentality. I just happen to be turbo swapping at the end of the year. Kind of my weekend winter project. My balt doesn't see rain or anything so when she goes to sit in the garage, the bnr stage 2 will be ordered and the stocker will be removed. The OP just said he is going to swap so I figure I'll give him the benefit of the doubt till he proves us wrong.

Eh if i swap then i swap but so far the only other turbo that interests me is the one ZZP posted about and that one has a BPV. I paid $50 more for a used setup with the HKS versus buying a cheap new CP anyway and i have the freedom of knowing if i ever do drop the money to swap then im one step closer to being able to. The way i look at it i paid $150 for the CP and $100 for the psshh

So does this mean everyone riding around with a intake and no tune is a ricer? Since is does nothing but make a cool sound and mess with the maf? Just saying.

no i just think its stupid to put a bov on a stock turbo car. you put an intake you hear the bpv just fine. running them together is just stupid if you ask me.

People put on body kits or stuff like that cuz they like it and everyone says to each their own. Same thing hear. Somepeople like bov some don't. To each their own. May not have a benefit but if theey like the sound and its worth the money to them then that's all that really matters. That's why people buy cars like this, so they can do what they like to it

im late but you can use a bov on the stock turbo lnf, you have to get the maf relocated for it to work. i feel the op wanting a bov, it sounds sick and i say go for it if you want it. i have a turbo swapped lsj with a forge bov and i love it.
whoever wants to keep their bpv do so, having a bov give no gains but is worth the noise.

we know this.....we arent saying it cant be done....we all know it can. just think its pointless since the bpv makes the same noise if you add an intake.
