bov noise odd...

Do these cars make a sound similar to surge when the BOV opens or something? i put my AEM revised intake on tonight and its got a weird surge like sound. Especially under 5psi. Its just not the sound i expected to hear...

Normal

The sound is just amplified with aftermarket intakes

By the way when it gets colder don't be surprised if your AEM does this on cold start either. This is "normal" too

Mine has not surged when I put the revised AEM on my car. The old one surged like crazy on my car. I threw the old one in the trash because I refuse to sell it to anyone.

I have the same sound at low throttle, my fix is to just not drive the car like a ***** and then I don't get the surge...

apparently you cant just drive these cars like a sane person no matter what... im assuming i had clogged injectors or trash on my plugs the other day... after like 400 miles of highway cruising in the rain my car started breaking up in boost with the cruise control on going up hills... i beat on it some and it cleared right up lol... so staying out of boost and trying to get good gas mileage while driving like a zombie to work < mountain killuh driving

The rain caused your problem, not driving sane.

I've been on a lot of long drives getting 34-35mpg and never had a problem with the car breaking up after babying it (pretty much every drive). My car has 29k on it and the only time it breaks up in boost is when it rains. With some of the cold air intakes that I tried it would continue to do it for a day or so after it had stopped raining. It would usually happen around 5k rpm.

Ugh. I hate that the rain affects my car so much. I just don't get it.
