Brake boost on ZFR?

Brake boost on ZFR?
Hey everyone, just wondering if anyone here with the zfr brake boosts or not? I have a 09 ss/tc with full-bolt ons and zfr/Powell 4.45 tranny and I was curious how many psi should I be boosting if I were to brake boost on a roll of course in 2nd gear at about 40 mph? What is the recommended psi to be at? Thanks in advance.

Hmmm... I think that's still very high even on e47. LOL but hey, how much of a difference do u notice? Also, yea I can understand that it doesn't really need the brake boost to spool but when it's a close race and you're racing for money then it's something that's nice to have as an advantage.

I brake boost just enough to take it out of vacuum, thats all. Worked well raping an 04 cobra, a hemi magnum, an SRT4 with full bolt ons and an LSJ cobalt that was very surprised, 3rd - 4th gear, he got left about a 1/8 mile back once it hit 4th lol.

I should have done that in my races

LOL Damn, that's only enough to wear your brakes... I doubt there will be any noticeable difference with only 1 psi but I guess... I'll just have to try myself and see what works for me. I was looking for a reference point but I guess I'll just have to experiment myself. Thanks anyways for all the input so far.

That's why I thought he couldn't be serious. LOL That's freaken high! Even on e-47... The only thing I can think of to justify brake boosting that high is if you're running for serious money or pink slip. Then at that point it will be do or die so to speak. But if you're just racing for sh*ts and giggles then it's really not worth risking your tranny. But then again, that's just my opinion...

Would only recommend doing it on serious races where you have something to lose. If you're just racing for fun... Save your breaks, rotors, and wallet.

Yea, after personally experimenting on my car... 2 Psi is a good place to start. It spools so fast that you don't even really notice much of a difference.

Well, considering how much WHP and WTQ you have... I wouldn't be surprised. I'm still on 91 and I'm only talking about a single event when I say it's not worth it unless you're racing. When you say a whole day... then well, it's the whole day driving with close to 500whp... I know you're not making all those ponies to baby the car around...
