If your car was not up to temp. when you NLS this will happen.

Yep, engine not up to temp, or you shift too close to rev limiter, or missed your shift.

It happens to me everytime I nls, it could possibly be a fuel problem, thats what vince told me

I'm tuned and your not but you could have a bad fuel pump or press. reg.

When you nls your car could be calling for fuel but just not getting enough

Just as everyone else said, you didn't let the car warm up first.

I had this happen to me a few times--especially when it's raining out for some reason. Does anyone know if it can cause long term damage to the engine?

Yeah, totally, might as well buy a skirt and ride around blasting lady Gaga. It is a girl's car anyways.

Hmm odd, my car has been no-lift shifted a bunch of times, never had an issue, all while being tuned too.

You're the one on here whining like a girl about breaking a cable............not me. Apparently, Rissa and I can NLS all day and not break a cable, but the self-pronounced best driver on the site has issues.

If enough torque is delivered there will be an issue.
Everytime you NLS a big torque spike occurs so if the clutch holds and so do the tires all that torque is imparted to the trans and the CV shafts. Look what happened to Steddy's trans.
