found more broken ****

got my new/ used intercooler in the mail yesterday, big thanks to Nocoss btw. went to mount it up and noticed it sucked a little dust into the cold side pipe i took it off to see how bad it was and noticed it broke the plastic nibble off to the boost/vac line and the sensor in it was dirty. anyone know how i could repair the nipple and if i can clean this sensor and what its for is it an iat sensor??? part number would be awesome on the sensor

It's the TMAP sensor. It does both IAT2 and pressure. You might be able to find someone on here that has their OEM sensor after getting GMS1 installed. As far as the coldside pipe, I don't know how to fix that without replacing it.

Now that it's broke, just get an aftermarket cold side. It'll be metal and not plastic so it won't break on you again

Or if you want to go to your local hardware store or parts store look for a air compressor kit with a nozzle like this one ...in the middle.

( middle piece )

Fit it in the hole, JBweld it on wait a few hours if not over night and install the cold side, stick the tube over top of the nozzle, use a zip tie or the metal locking ring that was on the end of it ...

Cold side is a bitch ...

I have an after market cold side now but... just a suggestion if your down and out a car to drive.

This is why I laugh at warranty anyway , even if I wanted to return it to stock I couldn't because the stock parts obviously didn't go through a lot of R&D or they just didn't care because they knew we would just buy after market stuff after it broke.

I tried explaining this to a service manager once and he just acted like he couldn't understand, I told them I bought the car before the bracket recall or fix came out and they just couldn't understand it .. LOL hello I bought the car in sep 2008 and took it in spring 2010 it took GM 6 months to release the fix , thats why I have after market pipes ..

Anyway IC and pipes need replaced if you or anyone ever plans to mess with it. That plastic crap just isn't worth the head aches.
