Building boost in neutral

I was just curious as to why our cars won't build any positive boost in neutral? Is it an ECM limiter, or is it something else that's preventing it?

I don't care that the car wont do it as I have no need to have that much power when I can already roast my tires in first without even thinking about it.

no boosted car builds boost in neutral, u need to be under load to build boost, unless u got antilag tuned into the ecu, then u can build boost in neutral.

like the srt-4's where the bov is used everytime you let off the gas, revving is giving it a load.

our cars do to if u listen really carfully, u dont have to build boost for it to blow off, its just getting rid of whatever air is in there. even driving around at -5 vac my car blows off when i shift. i reved up my talon in neutral all the time when i was working on it, bov almost knocked me on my ass, still alot of air pressure in there even without boost.

Your wastegate is open, and there isn't enough load, so not enough air to spool the turbo.

because he obviously has antilag tuned in, which causes the car to backfire like a bugger and builds boost in netrual. pretty much the same idea as the car uses to stay in boost with the nls.

its bad for the turbo and the motor in the long run.
