Caliber SRT4 Oil Cap....

Hey guys,

I'm not starting another "which oil is better" thread, I just want to mention that the oil cap on the Caliber SRT4 says Mobile 1 just like our SS. I found this interesting because I don't believe that an oil company would contract with two companies in order to have them display their logo. Usually they only contract with one company. With this being said, maybe Dodge and Chevy have no contract at all and actually perfer Mobile 1 over other brands. I'm really not sure if contracts exist or not but I found it rather interesting that two competitors suggest the exact same oil..... I've always figured that the most simple rule of marketing is to disagree with your competitor and suggest something else. Hmm....

GM only uses Mobil oils in their engine/dyno facilities.

i have no problem with rp or amsoil, and in fact I do believe they are both likely a bit better than mobil.
I just hate the people who are so up rp/amsoils ass, that they try and tell you other oils are horrible.
just makes them look stupid.

Thats a very ignorant train of thought. Why wouldn't a business would want more business.

All the companies that sell servicable products (oil, air filters, fuel filters, fluids, etc) don't make a lot of money by selling to OEMs (GM, Ford, Chrysler, etc). They make their money selling to you repeatly.

Ok dude, how is that ignorant?

Apple teams up with AT&T ONLY. It happens. Don't tell me I have an ignorant train of thought when very large companies rely on this type of thought. I wish I never got involved with this forum. I can't start a friendly discussion without people being rude. Lame.....
