Lower octane gas is worse, 93 will always be better than 91.

Worse for what? Not understanding exactly why you want higher octane in the first place.... 91.. 93.. What difference will you actually see?

the car is miles away from having a fuel system that could push the needed volume for e-85.
while i'm not a fan of e-85, for a laundry list of reasons, its not bad stuff. its core benefits truly do lie in the simple fact of how much fuel mass you have to use. its cheap tho....

Not necessarily. I have experienced several failures of my meth system, both mechanical and user related and have yet to lose an engine. 24* of timing, afr hit 12.5 and climbing, then my brain told my right foot to lift
Unless you are using a ridiculous tune or are too dumb to lift when your laptop says "DANGER TO MANIFOLD"

I will see if I have done any damage. Teh compression test and leakdown will tell all.

Bryan can more thoroughly explain it to you, but I can get a much more aggressive tune with better gas than I can with horrible California 91 which seem sto be worse then 91 in other states.

higher octane = greater resistance to spark knock. when tuned for a higher octane content, you can run more aggressive spark timing, therefore increasing power

here is what I used to do...

10 gal of 91 and 3 gal of 100 = 93 octane

It's kind of an experiment, if I really like it then I'll keep doing it, it won't hurt anything which is all that matters to me. I want the most fun driving experience I can have with the car while maintaining or improving it's overall "health." lol

the severity of the damage done by a failed meth kit is totally linked to the time spent(Revs) with it off under the conditions that its needed.

in her case, with there gas, to run a tune that i would like. that kit would be on ALLOT.

even at part throttle / low boost. shes missing a good amount of mid range cyl pressure that i just cant push with that gas, yet can all day here in MI.

when / if the kit dies, your relying on your sense's being good enough, and quick enough to roll out of the throttle when things feel "weird".
