im catted but with my side exit and lack of a muffler my car is ******* LOUD when starting up. in my old neighborhood, i use to have to take my stock muffler with a rubber connector and hook it onto my exit pipe to keep it reasonable.

EDIT: I think I found it...

When you say bring closer to zero everywhere...I assume that means across the board...Even in the high RPM areas? How close to zero did you bring it? Because most are set to -10.0 but some of the lesser values are like -1.0...

Look at the cold tables and watch your car during cold start. It should be easy to figure out what you need to do then Im not spelling it out...

Just clarifying that's all. It didn't really seem logical to change the upper ones in my mind. I'll compare the RPM/Load at startup and see where she sits.

PS. You da man!

I got a little antsy inside ha ha I can't wait to try this out!! I'll do another before and after video like I did last time when trying out the ECT tables and post it up at HPT. Just out of curiosity and since I won't be able to really try it out until later...how noticable is the difference? My neighbors are going to want to shake your hands...this thing is the only thing making noise at 5 in the morning when I to go to the gym...and well...when it's that loud and the only think making noise...it sounds soooooo much louder ha ha

Not really. You cannot change timing advance from the -16 to -18* it sees. You also cannot change the fueling strategy (it injects on all 4 strokes IPW is a constant 1.1 Ms). You can change the cat heating cold idle table but that removes only a portion of it.

The complaint is just noise, and this fixes the noise.

It does make it quieter and smoother. Still noisy on my car but I have almost nothing except the turbo to quiet it down LOL. I am going to put the AEM intake back on to see if it also cures the surging. I always noticed that the first time I started the car after a flash it did not surge with the AEM. As soon as the car relearned it started to flutter like crazy. No matter what I did with the ECT timing and the MAF tuning it never got any better. I looked at the difference between the cam angles right after a flash vs the next time the car is started and did a little quick math.

Yeah the ECT table didn't do **** but I'm going to load up the new tune with the Cold Cam tables dialed down and hopefully that will help. Results around 4:30

I think it should be noted that for folks still running cats, having this cycle light up the cat is not a bad thing. If you don't get that cat lit up... you will kill it pretty quickly.

I'm sure 99% of the people posting on here have off-road DP's, but just sayin
