Only time will tell if some of the cheaper ones start to crack. I doubt any of these are back purged when they're welded. Maybe the nicer ones from ZZP or Hahn.

I have been running this pipe for a few weeks and really love it. I also bought the defouler from modern performance and put it on and have not thrown any codes. car does spool faster and holds longer. If you decided to go the defouler route make sure you angle it so that it does not collect water.

down side to catless is the exhaust smell.

I have yet to experience this exhaust smell. Maybe it just doesn't smell bad enough to make any difference.

Ours are fully tig welded , 100% stainless and guaranteed for life. The only reason for the lower price is a lack of overhead, not because we cut any corners.

Yes, of course they're TIG welded. That's not my concern. Are they back purged when TIG welded, or is the assumption that it is thick enough so that it's not an issue? A picture of the back of the weld would tell the tale.

Every freaking downpipe thread...j christ.

If you have a catless downpipe and you are tuned (hpt, trifecta etc) you can turn off that cel from coming up. If you are stock or gmstage 1 get a ******* dp with an angled bung and/or high flow cat and you will have less of a chance of a cel.

I'll have a CIA catless dp on thursday, probably going to get it outfitted with a couple of V-band clamps and a spun cat so I can swap it out if need be, I'm not a huge fan of removing exhaust bolts repeatedly.
