anyone know where i can find the cheapest stage 1 kit, im hp tuned now but my car is in the shop every month over motor issues, so im thinkin just doin the stg kit since its to much of a hassel wit hpt..thanks for ur help

 

You mean the 3 bar MAP sensors? If you have HPT, it's the cheapest way to go but IDK what issues you are having. Performance Autowerks sells them.

You still on the stock sensors and popping them? What are your issues?

i blew 2 rockers before, they repalced the brokin ones, a week later 2 different ones went, so they replaced them all, went back casue misfire on 1 & 4 and they did a leak down 30% on one clyinder max spec is 25% and so they swapped coils around for the misfire and did nothin on the leak down test, now i did a pull wit a buddy the other night and beat him, went to go shift into third and pure misfire so i just held the peddel down engine light started flashin, shooted flames so i turned it off and the light went away i started it again, i do a 2nd pull same think pure misfire in 3rd...now im pissed....went to the dealer last monday made a appointment for the 25, so i told them to scan it but no engine light but i have 7 cels , a random misfire, misfire on 4 again which i brought up quickly that it was missing on 4th before and u swapped coils and i brought up this leak down test and he said it shouldnt have passed, so i gotta bring the paper work in when i drop the car off on the 25, and 5 cels of wideband lean, wideband overheated,02 sensor, and bpv and a few more i forget... so when i drop it off im bring all the paper work i have and have a nice lil meeting with them about everything and not taking there BS anymore since there should be no problem its a brand new car...so they took the codes and i made the appointment when i was there...basically in the end everytime this car has a problem i have to take it to my tuner to get it reflashed to stock and its just a hassel, so safe then sorry im just thinkin about doin the stage 1 so i dont have to keep seeing my tunner every month...i also get this weird idle somettimes which im not supprised

how would i do that? we also started a fresh tune 2 weeks ago and its misfire the same as last year, this leak down test has something to do wit the misfire dont u think?

 

I don't see how GMS1 is going to fix your issues. Most dealers charge 500-600 to install it and usually do a bad job of it.

You probably have cracked ringlands on one or more cylinders by now. When it failed the leakdown test was it intake valves, exhaust valves, rings, injector seals, what?

The purpose of a leakdown test is to narrow down the cause of low compression.

Over revving after the misfires isn't helping a thing you know. Just more stress on the engine for nothing.

 

i want the stage kit so i dont void the warranty. not sure about the leak down test, thats what they did after i was complaining about the misfire and they gave me the results in % on each cylinder but i dint know what that ment till a few months ago when i showed my buddy the paperwork, this leak down test was done about a year ago so its probley just all added up over time, they told me to bring the leak down results in when i drop the car off casue that should not have passed but i dint speak up casue i dint no ****, i think its the rings or somthing is gone

 

im seriously thinkin about selling and grabbing a new 5.0 lol
