Clear Image Auto SRI, CAI & TriFecta tune

I wanted to thank our local donor car owner, Andy (GM Tech) for letting us use his Cobalt to test our Short Ram Intake and cold Air Intake on.

I also wanted to let everyone know Vince was able to data log and make corrections for our Short Ram Intake. The short and long term fuel trims are back to normal with a little tuning from TriFecta.

Also, for those who pre-ordered our Cold Air Intake kits, the silicone elbows finally arrived. I will have them in my hands tonight. Todd test fit a batch of production CAI's on Andy's car and they fit just as the R&D piece. I am dropping a batch of CAI's off for ceramic coating Monday. I expect to ship CAI kits by next Friday.

SRI kits will officially go on sale by Monday.

If a customer is ordering a TriFecta tune from us, along with their SRI, the tune changes to support the SRI fuel trims will be included. Without a tune, there are no issues with running the SRI; no check engine lights, no computer codes, etc. Bu there is a recorded fluctuation in the fuel trims, thus running richer and fuel consumption going up. Bottom line, if you order the SRI, order the tune with it.

The CAI had no fuel trim fluctuations at all, so no specific tuning was required.

We are pretty excited to be working with TriFecta. Together, we are able to release new life into the Cobalt community by way of new products and innovation in tuning features and options.

In anticipation of questions:
Yes, we will offer combination pricing for an SRI and new tune.

Thanks everyone.

PLEASE OH PLEASE DON'T LET THIS THREAD TURN INTO AN HPTUNERS vS THE WORLD THREAD AGAIN! OK since I'm not a Trifecta user and use HPTuners to tune my vehicle...will this SRI work without the Trifecta specific tune? In other words...can I tune for it via HPTuners? I would assume so but I was just curious. *cough cough* heat shield *cough cough*

Yes, you can via the MAF calibration and correction tables. Just have to log some data and make the necessary changes.

You could just get the CAI. If you are worried about water you could probably use one of Injen's hydrosheilds with the CAI.
