The tune and the cable are together $500 with 250 tune + cable 250 ???
One reason = People like me who have Mac computers and cannot use the cables/software.

im not understanding what you are asking.

for 250 you get the GT tuner and Tune shipped to your house so you can upload it.
It is less if they only send you the cables and software for you to upload.

1. can you data log with the wire or does only trifecta/clearimage have access to that?
cable is 250 because it comes with a tune... the cable lets you do everything the gt tuner does.. cept you don't have to return it and you can use it to flash other people

Whoa...wait a minute...the tune is 250 and the cable is an additional 200 (might be 250)...check out the clear image automotive website for more information and the order form....

By the way the incentive to getting the cable will be to go back to stock as well as incorporate other tunes for your vechile (Vince is looking to make additional tunes for $50+ each in the future)

To answer a few questions and clarify a few mis-conceptions.

3" boost tubing would be complete over-kill with the stock or even a larger turbo. 2 1/2" is going to support more power than most anyone will ever have. 3" would also be an issue to install as 2 1/2" is already tight. And, though it does fit under the hood, it would be using all available space.

The reason for a larger down-pipe and exhaust is to reduce back pressure. This allows the turbo to spool quicker and run more efficiently. The boost tubing size does not have to match the exhaust, as the air going into the engine is being compressed where as the exhaust is being allowed to flow freely.

The data cable costs $200.00. It actually uses a microprocessor to allow communication between the cars PCM and your laptop.

Tuning is NOT included in the price of the cable.

Quick break-down:
data cable - $200.00
TriFecta tune - $250.00
shipping - $35.00
50 HP to the wheels - PRICELESS

For those wanting to purchase the data cable, additional tunes are available for $100.00.

As for the website, yes, it is hard to use right now. We are hoping to have it completely re-done very soon. To order, we still require you to call: (425)251-0329.

Thanks again everyone.

3" charge piping would cause a slight lag in pressure build over the 2.5"
more space the air has to be compressed in means slightly longer time to build pressure. 2.5 should flow fine to 500whp or very close if not more. def overkill as stated on the 3"
3" charge piping is more of a large ci motors application and for pure strip applications on smaller ci motors with full custom builds

That makes sense. 3" would probably cause more lag than 2.5" And we probably dont need to flow 700+ CFM unless there is a GT40R under the hood.

You mean this?

We finally got the prototype kit built Friday and installed it on our customers car. He has not had any problems; no codes, engine lighte, driveability issues, etc.

Here's a close-up of the PROPER breather valve connection:

I'll be starting a thread in the vendors area as well as a teaser in this area.

Yeah I'm curious about the fuel trims as well. I'm sure everybody would like to see them to make sure they aren't out of whack before jumping on the bandwagon. Thanks again Dan!

I'll be working with Vince for data logging this week.

On the Tech 2, our customer monitored a difference from -3 to +6 on the fuel trims at WOT and -14 on the long term. No codes, engine lights or driving issues. Let's see what data logging shows.

Thanks all.

-14 LTFT is way off!!! another 4-5% and you will throw a rich bank1 code.

Stock LTFTs are close to zero most of the time. -14LTFT is way off. Mine were -9 to -11 with my Dejon SR intake and the car runs tons better with the stock airbox and the fuel trims are much closer to zero most of the time. THE HOT IAT1s are causing the ECM to pull tons of fuel. The CAI should test much better. LTFT should be within 5% of stock not off by 13%.

Well, considering the length of the tube in the short ram intake, there isn't going to be any way to change the position of the MAF. The cold air intake may be the best way to go.

We are working with another customer on a custom project. We will be relocating the MAF to the cold boost tube before the throttle body. We'll see what happens.
