We will also let you all know the different finishes, coatings and materials the kit will be available in.

Thanks again.
Dan,

Piping looks nice but I do not see any beading on the ends of the piping to help retain
couplers. Silicone couplers do not like extreme pressure for even the best of clamps
so I would be worried about the 24-25 psi I run.

We literally fabricated the boost tubing kit that day, took pictures and posted them. No worries, the ends of the production tubes will be bead rolled.

Because companies like Injen, etc are in another country and may not be able to get a car to work on. Our only limits are our ability to locate donor cars. We do all of our own design, bending, welding, tube forming, etc here in our shop in the good old US of A. We also have the best PCM tuner available to us and a dyno next door.

I just got off the phone with the machine shop who makes all of our bending tools. Since aluminum is being pushed as the best choice for boost tubing, I am looking into tooling up so we can bend it. what's interesting about aluminum; it does shed heat quicker than steel. but it also absorbs heat much quicker than steel and it "heat soaks" instantly. If you guys are really after the best performing boost tube kit, the combo should be:

hot side = thermal dispersant coated aluminum tube
cold side = ceramic coated steel or 304 stainless steel.

This combo will help reduce the charge temps before the intercooler and keep the cooled air cool after the intercooler. Aluminum is the absolute worst material you can use on the "cold charge pipe".

If you haven't seen Clear Image auto has reworked the pricing for the charge piping down to $350 and 225 for 50 or more orders!!!!!! I will be back up there next week so we can do more work on other items such as a down pipe and exhaust maybe a different charge piping kit(maybe and intake too) also more tuning and YES dyno numbers!!!!

Will do here is the link to Clear Image's thread with more detail!! https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/supporting-vendor-deals-group-purchases-133/clear-image-automotive-ss-tc-boost-tubing-kit-gp-146629/ Once again if you guys have suggestions this is the time to get them in since they are still developing more products great time to take advantage of such an opportunity, just think you get more out of the deal if you had a say in the design more "custom" then others in my opinion.

Here's the complete production kit with bead rolls, stainless T-bolt clamps, silicone couplers. We didn't have time to have the parts powder coated. plus, if there is time, we want to work on adding the blow-off valve.

Well crap! Due to all the rain we have gotten around here this week the intersate and mountain passes are closed do to flooding. We are not going to be able to get the car up here until next weekend now. I'm as bummed as everyone else. Sorry guys, please hang in there for another week.

The good news, it gives us time to get the coating done. The owner has elected to go with the thermal dispersant coating instead of powder. We will also work on getting a blow-off valve up here.

Thanks everyone.

Roads are open and though the car didn't make it up here this morning, he will be bringing it in at 6 AM tomorrow so we are back on track.
