Clutch slip
i've always shifted at 2k rpm and when trying to save gas lugged the car around but i don't always just floor it in high gear. Every other car I own is a manual. I've got a 452 rwhp Trans Am and its had the same clutch in it for over 20k and never had a problem but as long as I don't let the cars rpms drop down and get on it does fine. I'm just gonna drive it until I can get a new one and see what happens.
i shift @ 3k in town and usually end up in 4th most of the time, and i cant get better than 17mpg. So i am gonna start keeping the revs up higher and then shift and see if keeping it in boost gets better gas mileage, but i doubt it.
as far as punching it in 5th @ 2k, why the hell would you wanna do that?
oh well, get a zzp or gmpp clutch and break it in properly and you should be good.
BTW, isnt our stock clutch only good for 320wtq?

Ok i just went out there and changed it and it was a light brown. Maybe a slight bit darker than urine. I drove the car down the road not giving it alot of fuel below 3k and it seemed to hold find it started raining so i couldn't really do much. Since its started this its probably best that I don't beat on it until I get a clutch or just keep riding it as always and not give it alot of fuel in high gear. I don't want to be afraid to run it hard.
