If it's over 3K in 4th I usually roll into it to about 15 psi and wait till 4500 to plant it ..... I'm running Vince's old boost ramp in ... that i asked for specifically . He told me it would be hard on the clutch but i wanted it for 2nd gear lol. I'm going to reflash with the updated ramp in this spring so i won't have to worry about it .

Have the same issue with my car .. I don't accelerate hard anymore in higher gears wishing my clutch will hold on for another while (at least for another year or so)...

My Cobalt has 7800 miles on it and didnt know about not flooring it in 4th and 5th. I did that alot at this mileage. I did it at 40mph to 60mph in 4th and 45mph to 65 in 5th. Is my clutch screwed? I won't do it anymore though!

Is your clutch slipping? If it's not then you are OK, but as this guy said STOP IT!

It doesn't seem to be slipping, so I will quit doing that from now on. I will have to get used to downshifting to 3rd.
