Cluthch & Flywheel?
I used to think mine was. Then I put new tires on for winter......................it was the tires.
You might want to be sure of that before you drop that kind of cash for a clutch.
keep in mind we live in PA, there is a ton of salt and **** on the road. Audibly, it can be deceiving.
i also purchased a spec stage 3+ clutch and getting the flywheel here within the month. let you know how it holds up when i get it put in. . . . NEXT month. ha. damn this **** is EXPENSIVE.
Many have went with the SPEC stage 3+ and aluminum flywheel on their SS/TC, it is a very nice setup. Never any complaints on it
If you have the 2.0 SC or 2.0 Turbo, we only recommend going with the "+" series setup. The clutch price is only half of it, the other half is the labor/time to install it. IMO I would rather do a clutch once, and have it "over sized" that way in the future when you add more mods, your clutch is not "under sized" and you are ready for it

i think the $1200 sounds about right for clutch and install. . . that's if you're resurfacing your flywheel. if you're buying a new flywheel you can probably add another $350-$420 to that number. might as well go all out now so you don't have to re-do it later.
Are you asking about aftermarket clutches or how well the stock unit is holding up? I'd have to check my time slips for an exact count but I should be close to 90 passes on the car and quite a bit of miles racked up. The stock organic disc gets a little soft when hot but has held up well, even at a couple really slow track days where I got north of 30 passes in (most back-to-back). I'm betting if you don't abuse it and severely overheat it ever that it will hold up okay at the expected GMPP upgrade torque levels. I'm not going to look into new clutches until (if) I get to a power level where the stock one is inadequate.
