I've seen it somewhere power is limited by the ECU in each gear. At least in 1st and 2nd. Did I read wrong or is that poster dreaming also? 1st redlines so quick it seems shifting a few hundred RPM before redline would help keep you off the limiter. 2nd and up the revs aren't climbing so fast. An engines "redline" isn't necessarily the optimum shift point. I'd like to know where the power is in each gear.

There is a torque managemnt setting in 1st and 2nd gear. The ECM tells the Engine to apply 50% avaliable torque in 1st and 66% avaliable torque in 2nd. The only way to remove this feature is through tuning but you will have traction issues if you do.

So what your saying is ULTIMATE torque developed is limited in 1st and 2nd? Not as a factor of RPM in those gears? If this is true tuning for full torque plus drag radials should translate into some great 60' times. IF the drive line can handle it. I haven't heard anybody complaining about broken axles or transmissions yet, or clutches either for that fact. These axles appear to be pretty stout. Unlike the stock axles in my Fiero. Worst comes to worst The Drive Shaft Shop makes some dynamite proof axles for the car. Some guys putting clutches in preemptively. I can't wait to get this car on the 1/4. But I want to start box stock so I will have a true baseline to judge improvements by.

when the bov cant release all the air when u lift off the gas and it rushes back into the compressor wheel of the turbo causeing a fluttering sound, hard or the turbo, cause air coming back into the turbo would make the compresser rapidly slow down and want to go in the oposite direction. = bad

Upgrade measures a 10.2% increase in airflow over stock IIRC.
