i believe hahn is the best, but too pricy
secondly the mpx ic, good quality, price, and works great from what i hear!
and i have the crazy steve

my plan was to buy the mpx ic when it came out but, instead, on my quest for an aftermarket ic i ran into a deal i could not pass up...i got my crazy steve cause at 150 shipped it was impossible for me to turn down

didnt have any problems at all with fitment, sits well above the lip, and deff. preforms better than the stock ic! only thing is that its a little tall so not all of the ic is being used as it is blocked by the crash bar, and also it is taller to make up for its width as it isnt as wide as the other aftermarket ic's, but still preforms well

and you dont need to base you purchases off of looks, as you said you like the look of the crazy steve better, if it is a performance mod!!it should be based off of your build plans/budget...

400+hp/nice budget=hahn
300-400hp/good budget=mpx
260-360hp/ok budget=crazy steve

i would even keep Hahn out of the equation. great piece, but ZZP's beats it at a lower price for a higher HP application

Believe me its being used because there is more surface area to cool the air passing through it

Yeah I was looking at those HP figure posted. Steve told me in person it should have no problem with 4-500 HP He said they have had that intercooler on much higher HP cars. Including their HHR and some of their drag Saabs.

I have Hahn and love it. It's a very well built unit. Hangs even with the bottom of the number though.

True, the factory intercooler had rubber vibration dampeners, but its overkill.

We have used intercoolers on our Neon SRT4's, which had from minimum 250 wheel horsepower to as much as 600 horsepower at the wheels and ALL SRT4 intercoolers mount directly to the core support, just like our MPx Cobalt intercooler.

Guess what? We have seen 2 cracked core intercoolers in the last 5 years, both I can guarantee were due to backfiring.

Furthermore, please take a close look at the brackets on our intercoolers. They are over 1/4 inch thick and are welded VERY securely. You could tow your vehicle by attaching a tow strap to an MPx intercooler!

im sure theres a easy way to isolate the MPx intercooler yourself tho. buy some rubber bushings and washers, just do work. lol. i may get the mpx and just isolate the thing myself. its not hard.

Im very happy you posted this. I <3 MPx. I think u guys have great **** and iv honestly never been dissapointed by anything i bought from u, this intercooler is NOT an exception to that rule either. Its beautiful. I mounted it the way u designed it and was fine about it but the more people bitch about it the more 2nd thoughts i have about taking my bumper off and remounting it etc. But if u use these on ur SRT-4's and havent had a problem then i feel 110% confident. They are beastly tabs

I mounted mine the way I did mostly because people were complaining, and I wanted to show it was not hard to fix, and cost $0 to make it a soft and flexible mount.
I Can't imagine any part of the end tank or tab breaking on that thing. Every part was straight beef
