The new trans has a new speed sensor in it, it came that way. If it was broke it show on the speedo no? I did notice when logging that it does this every time evap purge goes to 94-100% as soon as it hits 94 or more, car does its speed up thing

Unplug the evap purge on the intake manifold and drive the car.
See if that makes it stop.

I changed the solenoid and maf, I'll see if either fixes, then try unplugging, if that don't work I'll put vss from old trans in and see what that does

Well that didn't work at all. Apparently I can't use the old vss, to big.

If the VSS is different, that may be your issue. I don't have my laptop in front of me but the configs for speed sensors I believe are quite different in the tunes from pre-07 to 07+, new PCM and all. The signal might be off enough that the car is seeing too much variance between wheel speed and output speed and acting silly.

It's odd that the EVAP purge is high when it happens though, try blocking that as suggested and see if it goes away.

TB is stock correct?

ok so I loaded an older file and I changed the speed pulse my speedo was off by 20kms but it stopped doing it. so its either that speed pulse signal or the fuel trims were messed up. I put tune back in with normal speed pulse but earlier file fuel trims which where not tuned yet so we shall see if that fixes it. if not then it must be the speed pulse signal or the speed sensor itself. the speed sensor is different in that it has to be spaced to fit in the tranny without hitting the crown wheel. its 4.05 gears in a lnf trans.

Well I put everything back the way it was in the tune except the trims and it still doing it. So it would appear when I change the pulses per mile, the issue goes away, I will try loading my proper tune file again with only pulses per mile changed and see if it will work. If so, it's something to do with the speed sensor pulses per mile or the sensor itself.

Hmm.
Unfortunately the LNF PCM does not have as many options for speedo as the LSJ does.

Are you using the VSS from the LSJ or from the LNF?

If you are using the LSJ speed sensor, try changing the VSS Output to 67,523ppm instead of 26,715ppm the LNF is set for.

Lnf trans so I guess it's an lnf one. But mine has always been set at 42994. Checked stock tune, same thing

I wonder if that is because you are Km/H and I am mph.
My tunes (both LSJ and LNF), all of them, are set as I posted.

I bet you need the LSJ ppm setting for a km/h car....

Ya it is in kms. It's inches per km or mile where ever u live. There is 39370 inches in a km, I don't remember how u get the pulses for ur tire size, I'll have to look it up, but the 42k is in the ball park of what mine should be. I believe the tire size is set in the tune to factory, which apparently hasn't been unlocked for lnf, so u put in the inches per mile and it does the calculation by what the stock tire size would be. If that makes sense

What I think is that you need the PPM number from a Canadian LSJ tune to input into yours.

1km/tire circumference=ppm The just have to be in the same unit. so inches in a km/tire circumference in inches, etc.

EDIT: assuming that on a Canadian car it is setup as ppkm, but just labeled ppm. Not sure if there is some sort of other translation for a km/hr car.

speedo was slow so under. it went up very slow. Anyways I think iv determined that its not those settings that's causing this, may be a bad vss since it went nuts at 200kph. settings back to stock and will test again. John is sending me a new one.

So pretty safe to say it's a bad vss. Put all my settings as they were with old trans, as soon as I hit 200, speedo needle starts bouncing from 200 to 180 and back and forth and I'm still picking up speed.
