I bought something that looked like this and ground it down until the braided part clipped into place.

I did the test on this intake for dejon. I never had a problem with the intake. but I believe the reason the stock tube is fixing the problem is because there is a one way check valve in there. its not how the maf is sitting. look at the facotry intake, its in the same spot.

for the tuning problem, first the tuner needs to make sure that factory wide band is warmed up and moving around. I was seeing some funny numbers when tuning because its was not warmed up. (I had to run the car around 3k for 3-4min between each change to get it up to temp.

Maf tuning is def. needed to smooth out the a/f. those dyno pics are with smoothing on for the a/f. if you look at it normal I am sure its all over the place. MAF TUNING IS NEEDED FOR A PERFECT A/F through the rpm range.

hope this helps.

Hey, is the SRI that Clear Image made piping go all the way to the turbo and Mandrel bent? Or are the still using half of the stock piping? If so I might just order a SRI as well from them and compared the 2.

BTW " This Sex is on Fire" woooooooot!!!!!!!!!!!!!

they are still designing theirs. They also had this problem where the boost is all messed up and they are making an intake that is actually correct and will not have these problems. This is why I am waiting on theirs.

SO far the SRI will use half of the stock piping that is connected to the turbo, the full intake goes into the fender fully mandrel bent then goes into a coupler that connects to the turbo, they have pics up on their website

2-3 Spins pretty bad for a few seconds especially if the asphalt is cold.

I believe it is called an emissions hose and you can find it the the help section of your local autoparts store.

X2 this man and I speak the truth it is the vac line. The intake works fine no codes or anything but you really need a good MAF tune after you install any intake it will skew the reading and cause the A/F to change some. that is why I am geting mine tune touched up next month to make sure, and the money I saved will pay for the tuning touch up so win win.
