DI Injector Cleaning

I have the injectors out of the car, plan to put them back in this weekend so I dont really have time to send them off to be cleaned, is there any form of service I can do to them myslef while I have them out, there is some carbon built up on them (83k miles) and I want to avoid some problems I have heard about with them getting blocked from carbon.

I soaked the tips overnight in WD40 due to a lil carbon on tip, but direct injection pressure is not conducive to internal buildup.

There is a pretty cool video on YouTube on how to clean injectors, don't know if it will work for di injectors though.

Soof, did you replace any parts of the injectors while they were out, the ceramic part near the tip?

You can try soaking the tips in Seafoam or perhaps carb cleaner to break up anything that's clogging the tips. Additionally, I've put Seafoam in the gas tank and run it through the injectors before as well. The can will tell you how much to put in the tank depending on how much gas you've got in there.

Yeah you technically have to replace the seals, injector mounts, and HPFP pipe going to the rail when you remove them.

No, I don't think you can replace. Must replace injector seals(special tool required), o rings, injector clips when re-installing. Re-used hpfp line and no issues. Be sure to torque rail to proper spec, I think it around 15 ft lbs. Must get new gasket for im as well.
