Whats the word on the Werks WR-2 Bolt On Turbo?
There was a post on here but it was shown as being moved...not sure why????
Just curious if anyone has run this turbo or what everyone's thoughts are.

i personally like the ZFR, i think (depending on the price) ill more than likely be going with that one, i really like treadstone's price, but i dont feel like adding a downpipe and a new manifold.. i love the thought of direct bolt on!

Just talked with Shane from ZZP and he told me that the ZFR should be coming out by next month(fingers crossed) and that it will be UNDER $2,000. I am aware that just about everyone will have this Turbo as a stock Turbo upgrade, However this Turbo has the BEST of everything! Stock Spool with 400+ WHP....Where do I sign, lol

I can't imagine stock spool with an extra 150 lb/ft of torque.

I'd ramp in the Boost nice and slow with the stock tranny, no need to go over 350 ft/lb if the ZFR flows well enough up top.... Granted new valve springs would be necessary.
I would love a flat torque curve with a nice boost ramp keeping the torque around 320 to a 7500 redline.

The zfr should be around 2,000 that is what we are original goal was for the cost. However the cost has not yet been officially determined so it could change dont get mad if its higher than what i said. As far as the date all i can say is when they get here they get here lol.

Granted you can crank the snot out of the settings in the tune to make an ungodly boost spike by 2500-2800rpms if you really wanted, but who in their right mind would actually want that (I'm not pointing that at you btw Blackhawk)? Surely if you plan on keeping your engine, valvetrain, and drivetrain in tact you will opt to NOT take advantage of the super quick spool time and ramp things in smoothly.... just my 2cents

Keep blowing transmissions if you want full boost out of a 6758 by 2800-3k then my friend..
I also never said anything about "turning it down", but there sure is a level to where is certainly does become "asinine" if you don't control the power correctly.

I was making a general comment. It seems retarded to spend money on an upgrade just to keep it at barely faster than the stock one is. Blown trannies is part of it. Don't upgrade if you're scared. Plain and simple.

Mind highlighting in my response where I mentioned your screen name or anything like that? Feeling a little self conscious are we?

You made a very broad statement in which I seemed to fall into very easily considering my previous comment about the turbo, so yes I was going to speak up. If it wasn't directed anywhere near me then no harm no foul, but it sure seemed that way..
Anyways, it's a fun turbo.... do it!
